There is still a lot of older industrial gear in operation that uses CRT monitors. Heidenhain is a prime example. When the CRTs get old and dim the owner has a choice to make. There are LCD replacement kits available but the drawback is that LCDs tend to last about 5 years, which isn't very long in the industrial world. For about the same price as the LCD kit we can put a new CRT tube into your unit and refurbish the circuit board. Yes, we can still get brand new CRTs for most of the common configurations, we'll reuse the old yoke and circuit board and align the new unit just like new. As a tech with 40 years of experience I've replaced the CRTs on hundreds of monitors. The advantage is it should last 10-15 years.
